My long distance girlfriend of seven years and I have decided to spend our honeymoon at one of the famous place in the world in terms of pristine beaches and scuba diving spot. The place name is Maldives. It was a one year preparation. It took us a week to decide on the best location.

The criteria for our best location were the following:
  1. The place must be near to the international airport or nearby to the capital. Since it is an island country, in case of emergency, nearby hospital is an advantage.
  2. The transportation to reach the island must be in a speed boat. Sea planes will consume time.
  3. The place must have a good review from Agoda or Booking.
  4. The price must be reasonable and affordable.
  5. The place has a PADI diving shop.

We used the google maps to check the location of the Maldives - Ibrahim Nasir International Airport and scout the best place that requires only a boat ride to reach the island. My future wife was responsible for reading all the reviews and the best feedback at the Agoda and Booking. I was responsible for the best deal with respect to the reviews and feedback. I only have the final comment and my future wife has the final decision.

I always prefer to plan and book in advance in every travel. The advantage as everybody knows, you will be able to book at a cheaper price and avail an instalment payment with zero interest. It will depend on your credit card provider though.

Two years ago in Maldives, we printed our footstep on the sand and took photos and videos of the paradise on land and beneath the waves. The following photos will show you the beauty of the place not only at the surface but also under the seas.

Immersed yourself in and be a witnessed and increase your imagination in order to deeply appreciate the natural beauty of the island. I hope it will help you decide to travel this place if you have plans in the future.

The following was the timeline of our activity; this will guide you in your future travel in Maldives:

The island resort was Sheraton Maldives. The place was perfect for us because it has hit the five criteria that were listed above. The Ocean Pool Villa was the most expensive in the resort. Since it was our honeymoon I agreed to my wife to experience the accommodation of this priciest place. We decided to book one night and we did not regret it. What we have done was, we booked the cheapest room and most expensive room. It was a good deal.

The other suggestion in order to save money for the food, we ate late breakfast buffet. We ate a full breakfast and we no need to eat lunch. The breakfast buffet is already included in the room rates. One serving of food in the restaurant was good for Asian couple, so we save again for our dinner.
My wife supposed to take the open water diving course during our honeymoon but she changed her mind. So I only dived twice. I was hoping to encounter a Maldives' Shark but unfortunately they were not around, maybe at that time they were still full due to the shark feeding (sigh). The first dive was a refresher dive because I only dive once or twice a year. The second dive was the first time I did the jump entry. It was not that bad, almost perfect as my wife commented.

Maldives was listed both in our bucket-list. We have travelled to the place. We will never forget the quality time that we have shared to each other as a husband and a wife.

The most important thing that happened in the island is private. I just want to tell you, nine months after our angel and precious baby girl was born (made in Maldives).

I will never forget this phrase "couple makes the place romantic". The place will not matter, what matter is you and your partner.

God Bless, Keep on Learning and Never Give Up on Your Dreams!
