An Alien World Beneath the Waves

Human beings are adventure lovers. We like to explore new places and discover new things. Science has already brought us to the moon and back. And now we are planning to go to Mars and push our limits to live there. Hopefully I will be able to witness that event in my life time. Until now we have not find a single alien life form from another planet.

Why We have have to Probe Another Planet? Have They Not Considered What IS Beneath Our Ocean? ACCORDING to National Oceanic and Atmospheric the Administration (the NOAA ), "We have have Explored less Within last than Five Percent of Our Ocean." How DID that Happened? Why We are not interested to explore it? furthermore NOAA added that, "the ocean is the lifeblood of Earth, covering more than 70 percent of the planet's surface, driving weather, regulating temperature and ultimately supporting all living organisms. Throughout history, the ocean has been a vital source of sustenance, transport, commerce , growth and inspiration. "

The unexplored area (95 percent) in our ocean is still alien to us. I believe we have to do something about it! We have to study what lies beneath our Ocean before we will explore to other planets and the universe. The answer to the question, "are we alone in the universe?", that we are trying to find may be it is buried in the deepest part of our ocean.

How are you going to do your part in exploring our ocean? My personally answer will be to become a SCUBA (Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) diver. Recreational divers are already explorer forty meters beneath the waves. They already experience the sound and the water pressure trying to squeeze the air drums and the face mask. The feeling of weightlessness is amazing!

The Read the this Article This article was the I " How the NASA Astronauts 40 feet 'Underwater Trains ", and IT (Pic): "of Ever Scuba dived the If you've, you know that the when you're neutrally-Buoyant - Weighted Properly SO that you're neither Rising toward are at The Surface nor sinking to the bottom -.. you have great control in all three dimensions over where you are and how you move It's a lot like flying, and it's a lot like what astronauts encounter in open space "So, if you dreamed of becoming an astronaut and it is beyond your reach do not worry you can still SCUBA dive and experience the feeling of flying underwater.

I observed in my dive that what lies beneath are alien to me. The light rays from the sun slowly fading away as you go deeper. The blueness of the surrounding felt like you were out of this world. The coral reefs were so vibrant with life . It was like a forest under the sea. School of fishes were all over, some were chasing each other, some were following the leader, and some were feeding on algae found in the coral reef surfaces. some fishes were swimming in pairs. some Guarding Their House were diligently Fishes AS the I with the observed at The Clown FISH Guarding the ITS Territory. Actually the My favorite Coral FISH. One of the I GOT at The Reasons My PADI Certification and the checked the I OUT in the bucket My List.

Creatures that are expert in camouflage are mostly found in coral reefs. I have encountered a stone fish in one of my dive. My diving guide was trying to show me the stone fish. But it took me awhile to notice a fish was standing by like a stone. You have to open your imagination and sharpness of one's eye is the key. The secret on finding camouflage creature is to look for its eyes.

I encountered this weird fish, the lion fish. I have no idea that this fish is venomous until a year after. The reasons why you have to follow the one of the golden rule in SCUBA diving "do not touch anything. Hold your arms and near your chest while diving and maintain your balance buoyancy. "The stripe on lion fish skin is like zebra's. In different angle you will be able to appreciate its beauty and uniqueness.

On my tenth dive after I was certified a PADI open water diver. I was so lucky to encounter a coral reef shark resting under the corals. I thanked my guide and buddy on that day because he was the one who saw it. The moment I saw the shark, I was shaking;. my heart suddenly pumped so fast, my breathing changed A flash back just happened about the movie "Jaws" But I managed to calm myself and took a photo of the resting shark with a shaky hand..

Until now, I still feel alienated even if I already experience this underwater world. It is so breath-taking that you can explore the ocean even just for less than an hour in one air tank. I am still young in this SCUBA diving, I have less than 100 dives but I have dived on the places that I dreamed of diving like, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Maldives. There are still a lot of places in my list that every SCUBA diver wants. Two of them will be the Barrier Reef in Australia Great and at The Tubbataha Reef Natural Park in at The Philippines.
